Corporate Greenhouse Gas Accounting for Emissions From Electricity Consumption
This dissertation presents a concept for the accounting of electricity-dependent companies. This concept addresses known weaknesses of the current accounting approach according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. Among other things, the concept includes a higher temporal resolution, consideration of additionality in the evaluation of electricity procurement options, and the integration of various calculation methods. Furthermore, the implementation of the concept and its application to three case studies are presented.
